      This article reports that Chris Acemandese Hall, one of the original members of the African Jazz-Art Society & Studios, founded in 1956, artist, publisher and lyricist, died on Monday, May 16, after a bout with cancer. Hall created "Little Zeng," the first African American super hero, a cartoon character who took children and adults through heroic tales of African history. Chris also penned the lyrics to Miles Davis' tune "So What," which was recorded by singer Eddie Jefferson. Born January 3, 1932, Acemandese met Elombe Brath in 1956, while they were both studying at Cartoonists and Illustrators School. The wake and funeral will be held on Thursday, May 19, at the J. Foster Phillips Funeral Home, at Queens, New York City.
