      The article offers a research guide to the life and works of dramatist Max Frisch. No genuine biography about Frisch is available, either in German or in English. J. H. Petersen, Max Frisch (in German), a study of Frisch's work from various perspectives, provides a detailed chronology and an excellent introduction to Frisch's life and career. The scholarly studies of Max Frisch's work to date are so numerous. Most criticism is written in German. While there are few published book-length studies in English, there are quite a few excellent dissertations and articles available that investigate and assess Frisch's work from a variety of perspectives.
