      The article presents information related to Jordan School District in Sandy, Utah with respect to its fitness programs for students in the elementary schools. Teachers at the Monte Vista Elementary School are guiding their students through cardiovascular exercises designed to prevent the onset of early chronic diseases. A research-driven fitness program named Early Sport Program, is offered to third to sixth grade students. Such efforts should not be curbed because of lack of funding.
