- Abstract:
This paper sheds light on Al-Ghazali`s refutation of the Mu`tazilites` views on the acts of Allah, The Exalted. The Mu`tazilites have based the issues of this research on the principle of Divine Justice for which they have formed a special concept, and made it an obligation upon Allah based on what is intellectually right and wrong. Accordingly, this group identified Divine Justice and the injustice the Lord must be cleared of. They added that Allah must reward His servants for acts of obedience and punish them for sins. They have examined this under the principle of Promise and Threat and have made this an obligation upon Allah. They have also discussed other issues such as what is good and what is better, and all of these issues go under the umbrella of the principle of Divine Justice, which they have founded on intellectual principles. On his part, Al-Ghazali clarified the deviation of this group`s methodology because the intellect is unable to encompass the acts of Allah and His justice, so he provided a meticulous scientific critique of the evidence they have produced. He examined the evidence derived from the texts of Sharia and the intellect in adopting the doctrine of Asha`irah, in addition to refuting the key dubious matters of the Mu`tazilites in this regard. إن محاور هذا البحث يقوم ىلع بيان املسائل التي ردّ فيها اإلمام الغزالي ىلع معتقدات املعتزلة فيما يتعلق بأفعال الله عزّ وجل، حيث بنى املع تزلة مسائل هذا البحث ىلع أصل العدل الذي يعتبر األصل الثاني من أصول املعتزلة، وشكلوا له مفهومًا خاصًا أوجبوه ىلع الله تعالى، بناء ىلع التحسين والتقبيح العقليين، فقدمت املعتزلة مفهومًا للعدل اإللهـي وتعـريفًا للظلم املطلوب تنزيه الرب عنه، وقالوا بوجوب استحقاق الثواب ىلع الطاعات، والعقاب ىلع املعاصي، وناقشوا ذلك تحت مبدأ الوعد والوعيد الذي يندرج بدوره تحت مبدأ العدل، وأوجبوا "العوض"، وناقشوا مسائل متعددة كالصالح واألصلح، ومرتكب الكبيرة، وكل هذه العقائد تندرج تحت مبدأ العدل اإللهي الذي أسسه املعتزلة ىلع أصول عقلية، فجاء الرد عليهم من قبل اإلمام الغزالي لبيان انحراف منهجهم، ألن العقل قاصر مهما كمل ىلع التعرف واإلحاطة بفعل الله تعالى وعدله، لذلك جاء الرد عليهم ونقد أدلتهم نقدًا علميًا دقيقًا يتناول األدلة النقلية والعقلية يف تقرير مذهب األشاعرة، والرد ىلع أهم شبهات املعتزلة يف هذا الباب.
