      He came with a theme namely on how the Chan's non-dual realization reached through an awareness of an empty mind in light of the Daoist and Buddhist traditions. In the present special issue, we have invited a young scholar Dr. Teng He who is trained in Western philosophy of religion and who has taken an interest from my views on Chan to organize an up to date collection of Chan philosophical studies from the contemporary West.
