      From the perspective of foreign parents and guardians, this study aims to describe the sociocultural characteristics of foreign school concentration in two public schools in Santiago. A mixed sequential explanatory methodological approach in two stages was used, however, the qualitative approach was more prevalent. Thus, in the first quantitative stage, a non-experimental, a cross-sectional design based on a questionnaire with a descriptive scope was used. The second stage was a qualitative phenomenological interpretive type through semi-structured interviews to deepen and clarify the results obtained in the first stage. The results indicate that the sociocultural and economic characteristics present in the school concentration of foreign students could crystallize processes of social exclusion that foreign groups live in different spaces of the Chilean society.       El estudio tiene por objetivo describir las características socioculturales de la concentración escolar extrajera en dos establecimientos educacionales municipales de la región Metropolitana, desde la perspectiva de padres y apoderados/as extranjeros/as. Se utilizó un enfoque metodológico mixto explicativo secuencial en dos etapas, no obstante, se ofreció mayor preponderancia al enfoque cualitativo. De este modo, en la primera etapa de tipo cuantitativo, se optó por un diseño no experimental, transversal, de alcance descriptivo mediante cuestionario. La segunda etapa del trabajo fue de tipo cualitativo fenomenológico interpretativo a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas con la finalidad de profundizar y clarificar los resultados obtenidos en la primera etapa. Los resultados indican que las características socioculturales y económicas presentes en la concentración escolar extranjera podrían cristalizar procesos de exclusión social que vivencian determinados colectivos extranjeros en distintos espacios de la sociedad chilena.
