      This article reports that Italian Prime Minister and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi on Monday denied reports that he had resigned the premiership following an ongoing crisis within his center-right coalition. After an hour long meeting with President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, at which there was speculation that Berlusconi would render his resignation, he told reporters that he had not resigned and that changes within his cabinet had not been decided upon. Berlusconi, who assumed the premiership four years ago, also is Italy's unrivaled media mogul, with an empire that spans the three largest private Italian television networks, the largest film production company, a major publishing house and dozens of periodicals.
