Brandy Peterson, who for the past four and a half years has worked as an administrative assistant within the telecommunications division of the North Dakota state government has just dived into the states multi-million dollar network. Peterson, whose supervisor has pinpointed project management as a future career path for tier, is among the first of a group of state IT employees who will be trained under the National IT Apprenticeship System (NITAS). The program, a partnership between the U.S. Department of Labor and the ComplA trade association, is being rolled out across the country after an IB-month beta fast initiative.
