Chapter 3: PROJECT DESIGN, PROCEDURES AND DEVELOPMENT.

This article focuses on the project on evolution of environmental policy. The principal objectives of the project are comparative analysis of specified substantive environmental-management success cases in relatively large European enterprises (not yet investigated) and identification on the basis of this comparative analysis of starting points and options for preventive environmental policy favouring offensive environmental management. Comprehensive reconstruction of selected (prototype) success cases in individual companies taking into consideration all factors and levels of influence on environmental management. The focus on specified innovative success cases of environmental management implies case studies of enterprises that are pioneers in this respect. Neither cases of (successful) environmental management in a whole industry nor cases where companies simply comply with public regulations and environmental law are to be considered.
