- Abstract:
The cross-section of 8Li(α,n)11B has been measured at Ecm 1.25 MeV to be α(E) 500 mb using novel techniques, i. e. a 8Li radioactive ion beam produced a,t the tandem in Catania in combination with a 4He gas cell and a, 4&pai; neutron detector. The value is in fair agreement with previous work strengthening the model of inhomogeneous Big Bang nucleosynthesis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
