The article reports that outsourcer EDS Corp. is to close 21 of its datacentres in the U.S. and Europe by the end of next year and move some of the work to India and other cheaper locations. EDS chief financial officer Bob Swan said the company would close 17 of its 42 U.S. datacentres and four out of 12 centres in Europe that manage software for customers. The integration of Vidus' taskforce into SAP for Utilities and SAP Mobile Asset for Utilities will allow users to manage the workforce on the fly and advise service technicians of their orders via mobile devices.
