    • Abstract:
Hungary faced new challenges after the First World War. Multiple revolutions, economic difficulties and the Treaty of Trianon followed defeat in the Great War. In this situation, many of the country's leading politicians believed that education alone could help the country's recovery. Kuno Klebelsberg and Bálint Hóman played a crucial role in this policy as ministers. With their decrees, they sought to provide role models to the pupils who could reinforce the nation. In my study, I want to present the different types of role models that appeared in the educational decrees of this period (1920-1938). It is an essential fact that we do not only find historical examples, but also literary and thematic examples such as military heroes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
