    • Abstract:
• Abstract:
In this paper we are going to analyze the genealogical and heraldic data that appear visible in the images that we have of the funeral procession of Queen Elizabeth I of England held in London in 1603. We will see how it seeks to show the legitimacy of the sovereign to the throne through of twelve generations until reaching King Henry II, and that it was decided to prioritize the legitimacy of the York over others. We will also see the use of territorial shields, emblems and banners that give us clear political messages. We will finish commenting on the continuation of the genealogical and heraldic message of the funeral in the monument built for the queen in Westminster Abbey and dealing with the issue of the augmentations of honour in arms granted by King Henry VIII to his English wives, specific to this reign.
