Determining the perceptions and attitudes of pregnant women about the Covid-19 contagious. (English)

Introduction and Aim: COVID-19 has created a general health problem worldwide, while it shows mild or moderate symptoms in infectious individuals, it has seriously addressed some of them. This research is a constructivist type study aiming to determine the perceptions and attitudes of pregnant women towards COVID-19. Materials and Methods: 300 pregnant women who applied to the gynecology outpatient clinic of Çerkezköy Irmet Hospital between 17.11.2021 and 06.01.2022 were included in the study. Question formula and climate of the Perceptions and Attitudes Towards the COVID-19 Pandemic Rating Scale to gather literature coverage. Results: 39.7% of the pregnant women participating in the study are between the ages of 26-30. While 26% of the participants determined that their pregnancies were affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, 42% learned protective measures and applied health-seeking behavior when necessary, while 12.7% avoided health-seeking behavior. Conclusion: The mean scores of the participants’ perception of illness dominance sub-dimension were 4.04±0.75, the mean scores of avoiding personal contact and avoiding traditions were 4.17±0.75, indicating high awareness of this belief. It is important for nurses to educate pregnant women about their diseases in terms of their perceptions and attitudes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Giriş ve Amaç: COVID-19 dünya genelinde sağlık problemi oluşturmuş, enfekte olan bireylerde hafif veya orta seviyede semptom gösterirken bazı kişilerde ciddi semptomlara ulaşmıştır. Bu araştırma gebelerin COVID-19’a karşı algı ve tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılan tanımlayıcı tipte bir çalışmadır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma 17.11.2021 – 06.01.2022 tarihleri arasında Çerkezköy İrmet Hastanesi kadın doğum polikliniğine başvuran 300 gebeden oluşmaktadır. Literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan tanımlayıcı soru formu ve COVID-19 Salgınına Yönelik Algı ve Tutumları Değerlendirme Ölçeği kullanıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan gebelerin %39,7’si 26-30 yaş aralığındadır. Katılımcıların %26’sı gebeliğinin COVID-19 salgınından etkilendiği, %42’si koruyucu önlemleri öğrenip uygulayarak sağlık arama davranışına başvurduğu belirlenirken %12,7’si sağlık arama davranışından kaçınmaktadır. Sonuç: Katılımcıların hastalık algısının bulaşıcılık alt boyutu puanlar ortalama 4,04±0,75 ve kaçınma davranışlarından kişisel temastan kaçınma alt boyutunun ortalama puanı 4,17±0,75 olup bu yönde inancın yüksek olduğuna ulaşıldı.
