      The article analyzes seven coursebooks for young learners (YL) of English language. Topics include an outline of the history of YL coursebooks, four groups of principles of YL coursebook design that include learner factors, teacher factors, contextual factors and design factors, and detailed review of each coursebook series that include levels 1 and 2 of "Kid's Box," levels 1 and 2 of "Oxford Discover" and levels 1 and 2 of "Our World."
