      The paper deals with utilization of skin grafts generated in vitro in treatment of burns, skin ulcers and other defects. Specific properties of autografts, allografts and composite skin substitutes are discussed. The cultivation of keratinocytes, which were successfully applied as autografts in treatment of burn wounds in Kosice, is described in detail.
