- Abstract:
This study, Motives for Narration and Contexts of its Preventatives among the Companions about whom it is Said: (he has no known narration) throughout the Book al-Isabah a critical study is authentic and has not been touched upon. It deals with the investigation of the Companions of whom it was said: (He has no known narration) through the book Al-Isbah of Imam Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani. The study concluded that there are general motives for narration and devotional ones. Evidences on preventatives of narration, by its absence, a narration is increasingly followed, and with its confirmation, the judgment is corrected when there is a conflict about the company of the one from whom the narration is absent, by confirming the rank of companionship . The approach of revealing the motives and preventatives came by deducing the motives of the narration and the contexts of its preventatives, to verify the status of the Companion in the narration and the rank. And by finding examples of the Companions in whom it was said: “He has no known narration,” or any formula that denies his narration . Evidence for the preventatives of narration in this study stems from the status of the Companion, about whom it was said: “He has no known narration,” although it is not possible that he had a narration, such as someone who died during the era of prophecy, or was an infant on the day of the Prophet’s death . And there are preventatives that may lead to the possibility of the existence of a narration, so if it is apparent in the status of the Companion that he has a narration, his mention comes in the discussion of the motives of the narration, and whoever is otherwise, comes within the study of the obstacles to the narration. In general, when the narration was denied from him in the book of al-Isabah, he will be a subject of a study here, by tracing his status in the books of biographies of the Companions and the books of the narration. - Abstract:
