Changing the face of cancer treatment with light-controlled drugs.

The article reports on study of researchers at the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC) on cancer treatment with photopharmacology. Topics discussed include caged design of the team which modifes drug to incorporate group that renders it inactive, release of active drug upon illumination, limited efficacy of cancer medications.
