      The article explores the difference between smart factory and smart manufacturing. It defines smart manufacturing as the process that improves its performance aspects with integrated and intelligent use of processes and resources in cyber, physical and human spheres while a smart factory adopts the principles of smart manufacturing and maximizes its enablers to improve processes. It discusses the reciprocal relationship between the two concepts which has the common goal of improvement.
