The mites of the genus Dendrolaelaps Halbert (Digamasellidae) from Guilan province in Northern Iran were investigated. A total of twelve species were determined. Dendrolaelaps lignicolusn. sp. is described and illustrated based on adult females collected from a rotten stump of Persian ironwood (Parrotia persica) in Rasht County, Saravan Forest Park. Moreover, Dendrolaelaps brevipiloides Hirschmann & Wiśniewski 1982, D. latior, D. markewitschi, D. paradoxa, D. punctatulus, D. saprophilus and D. stammeriformis Hirschmann and Wiśniewski, 1982 are new species records for Iran. A checklist and a key for identification of the subgenera and species of Dendrolaelaps in Iran is also provided. Lsid for paper: Lsid for new species: [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
