- Abstract:
A new eggplant cultivar ‘Shiko 17-22’ was developed with the characteristics of high yield, pickling ability, parthenocarpy and spine absence. The fruit shape of ‘Shiko 17-22’ is long obovate. The fruit of this cultivar has an excellent character with high quality and glossy skin. This cultivar, which is characterized by stable parthenocarpy, requires fewer working hours to force culturing, and is spineless. The marketable yield of ‘Shiko 17-22’ is greater than those of ‘Senryo’ and ‘Togenashikiraku,’ and its breaking strength of the fruit skin is between those of the two cultivars. The taste evaluation after pickle processing of this cultivar is equivalent to ‘Senryo’, and superior to ‘Togenashikiraku’. 促成作型のナス産地への単為結果性及びとげなし性を持つナス品種の導入を目標に、ナス 新品種「試交17-22」を育成した。本品種は以下の特性を持つ。 ・ 果実は長卵形で、果皮に光沢があり、秀品率が高い。 ・ 単為結果性及びとげなし性を持つ。 ・ 可販果収量は、愛知県の慣行品種「千両」及び「とげなし輝楽」と比較して多い。 ・ 外果皮の破断荷重は、「千両」と「とげなし輝楽」の中間である。漬物加工後の食味評価は、「千 両」と同等で、「とげなし輝楽」より優れる。 2021年11月に品種登録出願し、2022年3月に出願公表された。 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
