      For the burgers: Add the black beans, beets, garlic powder, onion powder and ½ teaspoon salt to a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Cover with a patty, followed by some lettuce, and repeat the process with the sauce, pickles, onion, another patty and the remaining lettuce. Add the panko, 1 teaspoon salt, the onion powder, garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon pepper, the egg and 2 tablespoons of the barbecue sauce and mix well. [Extracted from the article]
