عد الفكر السوقي لنور الدين زنكي والرؤيا العسكرية مكملا لدور والده, فكانت له رؤيا عسكرية متواصلة في معاركه مع عدوه عندما استولى على الرها للمرة الثانية بعد أبيه بالإضافة الى استيلائه على انطاكية اذ اتبع الأسلوب العسكري الفذ في الاستيلاء على هذه المدن وكسر قوة العدو وهزيمته بالإضافة الى ما اعقبه من تحرير المدن الصغيرة والكبيرة, فقد اثارة اسرة زنكي رعب المسيحيين. اذ استعمل نور الدين عدة أساليب ضد الصليبيين, فكانت خططه تعتمد على الأسلوب التكتيكي لضمان نجاحها منها, اسلوب الدهاء العسكري واسلوب الموادعة واسلوب الكمين العسكري واساليب اخرى, فأن نور الدين أهتم بأمور الأمة اكثر من اهتمامه بالأمور الشخصية, اذ حافظ على وحدة الأمة من تمزيقها وصد الغزو الصليبي عنها.
