      Donald Trump urged Republicans not to touch "a single penny from Medicare or Social Security" but instead to "cut the left-wing gender programs from our military", among other things. Days after ripping President Biden for illegally retaining classified information from his time as Obama's vice president, a chastened Mike Pence admitted that he had illegally retained classified information from his time as Trump's vice president. The matter is under Justice Department investigation, but the "everybody does it" insouciance of the Pence and Biden misadventures makes a classified-documents prosecution of Trump highly unlikely.
