The article titled "Design of a test bench for internal combustion engines for the School of Mechanical Engineering" presents the design of a test bench with a bench dynamometer and testing protocols for the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Costa Rica. The objective is to provide a tool that allows for cutting-edge studies on internal combustion engines and contribute to the development of alternative fuels and naturally sourced lubricants with a lower environmental impact. The design includes the construction plans for the test bench, as well as complementary systems such as the exhaust gas system, ventilation system, engine cooling system, and sound insulation. El artículo titulado "Diseño de un banco de pruebas para motores de combustión interna para la Escuela de Ingeniería Mecánica" presenta el diseño de un banco de pruebas con dinamómetro de banco y protocolos de ensayos para la Escuela de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Universidad de Costa Rica. El objetivo es proporcionar una herramienta que permita realizar estudios de vanguardia sobre motores de combustión interna y contribuir al desarrollo de combustibles alternativos y lubricantes de origen natural con menor impacto ambiental. El diseño incluye los planos constructivos del banco de pruebas, así como los sistemas complementarios como el sistema de escape de gases, sistema de ventilación, sistema de refrigeración del motor y aislamiento acústico.
