    • Abstract:
The article reports that Dutchess County Executive William Steinhaus challenges Dutchess business community to take part in protecting open spaces. Steinhaus addressed issues increasingly on the minds of both business and residents: the management of development and sprawl busting. Citing the adoption of the Partnership or Manageable Growth in 1999, Steinhaus said that Dutchess County has entered into 12 partnerships with eight towns to protect significant agricultural and recreational acreage under protective open space easements.
