- Abstract: Media discourses are an integral part in shaping social perceptions. Through these speeches, the media filter and reinterpret events; these processes contribute to shaping social imaginaries. This work studies the influence of presidential agendas on the media evolution of a paradigmatic episode of the Colombian armed conflict, such as the "collar-bomb" case between 2000 and 2019. To achieve this objective, a content analysis has been used computerized, both through topic modeling and sequence analysis. The results confirm a closeness to the presidential speech of the informative coverage of the analyzed medium, one of the most important, by history and consumption, in Colombia. The use of a deliberate discourse is reflected both in the associations similar to the positive and negative allusions to the internal armed conflict, as well as the notions regarding the FARC.
