    • Abstract:
The article shares insight on the end of the golden age of the U.S. entertainment industry. It attributes the diminishing demand for television programs and movies to the oversupply of product driven by cable channel explosion, Internet, online video sharing platform YouTube, streaming services, advertising dollar diversification, video sharing app TikTok, corporate debt service payments and overinvestment. It points out that spending on feature films in the age of streaming is a money loser.
