    • Abstract:
Accordingly, patients are not sequenced to group those with known open wounds with or without known MDRO, nor are they cared for in specific rooms with enhanced disinfection between patients. Regardless of the presence of an MDRO-bearing patient (with or without an open wound), all patients use the same waiting room and clinic examination rooms. Acute inpatient healthcare for medical and surgical conditions is complicated by infections related to multi-drug-resistant organisms (MDRO).[1] Accordingly, substantial and system-wide efforts are directed at addressing MDRO prevention, identification, and management.
