      Following the collection of some specimens of Cryptophilus obliteratus Reitter, 1874, the first author decided to gather all information about the presence, nowadays, of this species in Belgium. This beetle lives in decomposing vegetable material. It is an invasive species, originally from Eastern Asia. The first Belgian captures were reported in the province of Hainaut on 20.vi.2014.
