      Rabbits are the second most numerous species of farm animal in the European Union. Small-size breedings of rabbits are very popular and spread in the Czech Republic. The rabbit is becoming a popular pet too, with which it is also possible to practice sports. It is also possible to keep a rabbit as an experimental animal. Legislative rules provide greater protection for transported animals. The legal conditions for transport vary according to the purpose of the journey. The paper presents the legislative requirements for different cases of the transport of rabbits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Králíci jsou z hlediska počtu druhým nejpočetnějším druhem zvířat chovaným pro hospodářské účely v EU. V České republice převažují malochovy. Králík se stává oblíbeným domácím mazlíčkem vhodným i pro sport. Dále je možné chovat králíka jako pokusné zvíře. Legislativní podmínky přepravy se liší podle účelu cesty.
