Spinal Extradural Arachnoid Cyst: Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatment after Localization of Dural Defect Using Magnetic Resonance Myelogram. (English)
    • Abstract:
A spinal extradural arachnoid cyst (SEAC) is a rare disease. Multiple SEAC is a very rare disease that has been reported worldwide, mainly in children, but there are few case reports in Korea. The authors report a marked reduction in cyst size on magnetic resonance (MR) imaging at the follow-up after surgery in surgically treated case of a patient diagnosed with thoracic type I and lumbar type II SEAC. After localization of the dural defect using preoperative MR myelograms, a minimally invasive laminectomy and cyst fenestration could prevent many surgical-related complications.
