      El artículo discute los resultados de una investigación, cuyo objetivo fue explorar el uso de las herramientas digitales para el aprendizaje en la modalidad en línea, que hacen los estudiantes de educación superior durante la contingencia sanitaria por COVID-19 y sus principales dificultades. A partir de los resultados de un estudio descriptivo con una metodología cuantitativa, basada en la aplicación de un cuestionario exploratorio a estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, campus Chilpancingo, Estado de Guerrero, México, se pretende contribuir al conocimiento sobre las competencias digitales que los estudiantes de educación superior necesitan fortalecer para hacer frente a este contexto sanitario.       The article discusses the results of an investigation, whose objective was to explore the use of digital tools for learning in the online modality, made by higher education students during the health contingency by COVID-19 and its main difficulties. From the results of a descriptive study with a quantitative methodology, based on the application of an exploratory questionnaire to students of the Autonomous University of Guerrero, Chilpancingo campus, State of Guerrero, Mexico, it is intended to contribute to the knowledge about the digital skills that Higher education students need to strengthen to face this health context.
