      La pandemia causada por la COVID-19 llegó a cambiar estructuras sociales en todo el mundo y las Instituciones de Educación Superior también han sido afectadas. Desde el cierre de las universidades, se han experimentado nuevas formas de gestionar, incluso las competencias del personal y el alumnado se han transformado a partir de dicho evento; es por esto, que en la actualidad se enfrentan a retos y las teorías de la organización son una herramienta teórica que puede fundamentar su actuar. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el contexto actual de las universidades a partir del análisis documental y ofrecer alternativas de solución desde la perspectiva de las teorías de la organización.       The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has changed social structures around the world and Higher Education Institutions have also been affected. Since the closure of the universities, new ways of managing have been experimented with, even the competences of the staff and students have been transformed from said event; This is why they currently face challenges and the theories of the organization are a theoretical tool that can support their actions. The objective of this paper is to analyze the current context of universities from documentary analysis and offer alternative solutions from the perspective of organization theories.
