IMPACT OF NOZZLE ON CONSUMPTION OF AN INSECTICIDE FLUID AT INFESTED WOOD SPRAYING. (English)
    • Abstract:
Th e paper addresses the issue of nozzle infl uencing experiments on specifi ed doses at spraying during the sanitation of spruce bark beetle infested wood, and at the same time the amount of overspray is taken into consideration. Many types of nozzles can be used when spraying bark wood. Th e most frequently used types were selected for the tests. In the experiment, the tests were performed on 1 m long samples, which measured both the amount/dose required to treat the section and the amount of spray liquid that did not reach the target section (overspray). Th ese characteristics were evaluated and later assessed separately and in relation to one another. Both of these characteristics are important from the economic and environmental point of view. As emerged from the experiments with commonly available nozzles, the most eff ective is the use of HYPRO Polijet ANZ 4. However, when deciding which nozzle to apply, it is possible to prefer information about the used dose and overspray separately. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
