    • Abstract:
In the first half of 2022, the EU exported less pork on the global market than the previous year. This led to significant revenue losses for exporters, mainly due to lower demand from China and Hong Kong. The quantity of exported pork to the People's Republic has decreased by 60 percent to 676,000 tons. However, the demand from China seems to be increasing again as domestic prices have risen due to a tighter supply of pork. [Extracted from the article]
