- Abstract: The development of the Hungarian economy and society is usually described from an autochthonous, national perspective. In comparison, Géza Herzegh, an outstanding jurist, presents the course of Hungarian history from the foundation of the state to the dissolution of the Monarchy, i. e. the reorganisation of the Hungarian state, up to 1920. His unique insight shows that in the Romantic view, the processes presented as the play of the main actors were mostly a reflection of European politics. The Hungarian elite, with few exceptions, was not well informed about world affairs, and the country paid a heavy price for this. The summary is also a call for a more thorough cultivation of international relations and the application of this insight to economic decision-making. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
- Abstract: A magyar gazdaság és társadalom fejlődését többnyire autochton, nemzeti szempontból szokták megírni. Ehhez képest Herczegh Géza, a kitűnő jogtudós, mintegy kívülről mutatja be a magyar történelem menetét az államalapítástól a monarchia felbomlásáig, azaz a magyar állam újjáalakulásáig, 1920-ig. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
