      This article presents news briefs related to the Catholics in the U.S. The Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests, has asked Catholic bishops to post the names of abusive priests on diocesan Web sites and personally urge victims to come forward with allegations of abuse. Catholic priest Michael Fraser has taken the extraordinary step of suing his Archbishop Alfred Hughes and defamed him by ordering him out of his Marrero, Louisiana, pulpit on a charge that he molested a child. Fraser also charged that Hughes violated the church's own procedures when he relieved Fraser from ministry as pastor of Visitation of Our Lady Parish.
