The study investigates the erosive wear of surfaces coated with epoxy/TiO2 nanocomposite. The addition of TiO2 nanoparticles improves the erosion resistance and hardness of the coating. The wear is lowest at an impact angle of 90° and highest at an impact angle of 60°. The addition of 1 wt.% TiO2 nanoparticles leads to an improvement in erosion rate of up to 80%. Die Studie untersucht den erosiven Verschleiß von mit Epoxy/TiO2-Nanokomposit beschichteten Oberflächen. Die Zugabe von TiO2-Nanopartikeln verbessert die Erosionsbeständigkeit und Härte der Beschichtung. Der Verschleiß ist am geringsten bei einem Aufprallwinkel von 90° und am höchsten bei einem Aufprallwinkel von 60°. Die Zugabe von 1 Gew.-% TiO2-Nanopartikeln führt zu einer Verbesserung der Erosionsrate um bis zu 80 %. Die Härte der Beschichtung steigt mit zunehmendem TiO2-Gehalt an. [Extracted from the article]
