      La tutoría es una práctica fundamental en la educación superior que está orientada a disminuir el abandono escolar y el rezago académico. El tutor es el encargado de brindar orientación y acompañamiento al tutorado en las áreas personal, social, académica y profesional. Durante la pandemia por COVID-19, las tutorías presenciales fueron suspendidas y existía la necesidad de mantener vivo el vínculo tutor-tutorado. Fue así como a partir de otoño del 2020, la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas implementó un modelo de atención tutorial remota a través de software incrustado en Microsoft Teams. Aunque es pronto para establecer la eficiencia y la eficacia del modelo, los primeros resultados son favorables, pues la solución de software ha apoyado positivamente la actividad tutorial.       Tutoring is a fundamental practice in higher education that is aimed at reducing dropouts and academic lag. The tutor is in charge of providing guidance and support to the tutored in the personal, social, academic and professional areas. During the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face tutorials were suspended and there was a need to keep the tutor-tutored bond alive. This is how, starting in the fall of 2020, the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas implemented a remote tutorial service model through software embedded in Microsoft Teams. Although it is early to establish the efficiency and effectiveness of the model, the first results are favorable since the software solution has positively supported the tutorial activity.
