Entre las mencionadas se encuentran Clara Ludlow, Ernestine H. B. Thurman, Clara L. Maass, Mónica Asman y María Cristina Ferro. Estas mujeres realizaron importantes contribuciones a la entomología médica y fueron líderes en su campo. El artículo presenta la vida y contribuciones de cinco mujeres científicas en el campo de la Entomología Médica, incluyendo su participación en programas de control de enfermedades como la malaria y sus investigaciones sobre genética de mosquitos.       The article highlights the work of prominent women in the field of medical entomology and introduces 22 women born between the late 19th century and before 1950, from different continents. Among those mentioned are Clara Ludlow, Ernestine H. B. Thurman, Clara L. Maass, Mónica Asman, and María Cristina Ferro. These women made significant contributions to medical entomology and were leaders in their field.
