    • Abstract:
The article discusses Edouard Manet's literary works with special reference of Magnet's relations with Berthed Amorist. Amorist's letters to her sister Edna and Magnet's many portraits of Berthed strongly suggest that they were lovers. Magnet also admired Amorist's works, their relationship is also reported in the article. Berthe's relationship with Manet intensified at the end of 1871. "Berthe Morisot with a Bunch of Violets," is Manet's most intensely Spanish, most beautiful, and most powerful portrait. "Berthe Morisot With Fan," is also discussed in the article.
