- Abstract:
Similarly, in scene III, the author adds an additional layer of complexity by introducing the element of cooptation which is the exploitation of the women protesters for personal and political gain. In the concluding chapter, the author briefly discusses how the protests that were located in rural communities in Africa traveled throughout the world, and traveling has transformed its meaning. In "Naked Agency: genital cursing and bio-politics in Africa," Naminata Diabate tells expansive accounts of women involved in protests exposing their naked bodies and genitalia to curse their opponents across Africa.
