      JULIE GOLDSTEIN GRUMET has worked at the forefront of mental health and suicide-prevention efforts since she examined the topic in her 2001 dissertation to become a clinical psychologist. One targeted solution is establishing a proper condition of suicidality in the Bible of the mental-health world, the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
