Despite concerns about the coronavirus and the postponement to May, the Prowein trade fair in Düsseldorf was successful, even with almost half the number of visitors. 38,000 visitors from 145 countries were counted, compared to 60,000 in 2019. Most visitors came from Europe, followed by the Americas and Asia. 28 percent of the visitors were trade professionals, while only 17 percent came from the gastronomy sector. Exhibitors, including Grands Chais de France, Torres, Constellation, and the Association of Prädikatsweingüter, expressed satisfaction and reported concrete deals.
