    • Abstract:
This article focuses on simple revision surgery in cases with skin necrosis. Skin necrosis and extrusion of the receiver-stimulator device are known as a major complication after cochlear implantation. Usually plastic surgery intervention, such as a skin flap rotation including slight movement of the device, is applied in these cases. However, re-extrusion of the device would not be completely avoidable, and eventual device removal may be needed in many cases, if allergic reaction is the underlying cause.
