THE DEBATE - INTELLECTUAL GAME AND ACTIVE METHOD OF LEARNING. (English)
    • Abstract:
The debate is a structured discussion. The level of structure and formality depends on the teacher. There are usually two teams with at least two participants in each. One team supports the claim and the other denies it. You can choose the topic according to your learning goals, you can leave the students to think and choose topics close to their interests and everyday life. of their speech abilities and full communication. The availability of methodologies and subjects that increase the readiness and skills of students to be competent and engaged citizens is also insufficient. The accumulated experience shows that children and young people in school show strong motivation and desire to participate in educational forms that enable them to acquire various practical skills and to fully prepare for life. The forms and methods of "Debate" are an excellent tool for the development of thinking and personal wisdom. Ideas for the building blocks of good debate have existed in ancient Greece. Subject- for there to be a dispute, of course, there must be something to argue about. There are different types of topics depending on the different forms of learning debate-affirmative party, a negative party. Arguments - the best way to convince a judge that your position is correct is through argumentation. Evidence- in addition to the arguments, the debaters must present to the judges evidence in support of their actions. Cross-examination-most, but not all, educational debates allow each participant to answer questions from the opposite side. Evaluation-after following the development of the whole debate and hearing the arguments of both parties, the judge will indicate his decision Responsibilities of the speaker-the success of the debate lies in group work or, rather, teamwork [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
