      The researchers used these data - combined with those on the type of gall from which the wasps emerged - to group O. labotus into some 16 to 18 different species. Sorting out the species of I O. labotus i wasps is one step toward uncovering the full diversity of life on Earth, notes Smith, at the University of Guelph.
