    • Abstract:
The article discusses Thomas Edison, the lightbulb's ever-energetic inventor, famously opposed to sleeping. He claimed he never slept more than four hours a night as he thought sleep to be a waste of time. He may have relied on slumber to spur his creativity and is said to have napped while holding a ball in each hand, and he assumed he would wake up when the orbs fell to the floor. It helps one to remember the thoughts that come on nodding off, which one often does not recall.
