- Abstract:
As she expanded into vegetable gardening at her home in Pensacola, Florida, Jefferson felt unwelcome when she turned to local garden centers and clubs for advice, so she started seeking information online. Jefferson recognized that this lack of Blackness in the gardening space could be prohibitive for others who wanted to start gardening too. [Extracted from the article]
